Hand-thrown mini vase made by Lærke Møller Hansen, a TOAST New Maker 2025. Crafted from red stoneware and glazed on the inside, the outside is left unglazed for a textural effect. Designed for small arrangements, it can stand on its own or be grouped for a more sculptural display.
Working from a former blacksmith’s workshop near Odense, Denmark, Lærke Møller Hansen has been working in ceramics for over ten years. Inspired by the simplicity of Japanese ceramics, she develops her own glazes using locally-sourced materials like sand and wood ash. Under the moniker Danish Clay Design, she crafts serene, functional tableware is guided by organic forms.

This item is part of our New Makers programme. In its seventh year, five makers demonstrating excellence in skill, originality and craftsmanship have been chosen by a TOAST panel. Details
Red stoneware. All items are thrown in stoneware clay and are therefore dishwasher safe. However, make sure that the items do not collide with anything during the washing. Handwashing is a good alternative if you want to take extra care of your ceramics.
